Every full clock hour in which a room has no scheduled section. A block counts as open only if the room is completely free for the whole hour (no partial overlap with a class, and no back-to-back spillover).
Checked for every class meeting: is the same room free for a full hour after the class ends? Sections below must move — fallback rooms are free for that whole hour, listed same-building first (N-series stays in Namm, V in Voorhees, P in Pearl) with cross-building options in grey. P-111, V-111 and N-1118 are never offered as fallbacks — only their own instructors may use them. P-117 is kept free on Thursdays.
